A project to make better use of green space at Rectory Lane Cemetery will be launched with a heritage open day.
Visitors from 2pm on Sunday, September 14 will be able to learn about masonry, follow a nature trail, enjoy a guided tour of war graves and watch demonstrations of outdoors yoga.
The event will begin when a horse drawn hearse parades from St Peters Church to the cemetery, followed by a release of doves.
A constulation team will be there to hear feedback and ideas on how the green space can be better used.
On the day the three acres of land will be transformed into zones to show various options for future uses.
