It was a family affair when Parkinson’s UK was nominated as a local charity to receive a share of the £1,000 given by the Waitrose supermarket in Berkhamsted to good causes in the area each month.

Waitrose representative Dee Stone handed over a cheque for £301 at the annual meeting of the charity’s West Herts branch.

In an often emotional speech Dee paid tribute to the help her family had received after her father was diagnosed with Parkinsons.
