A decision on whether to grant planning permission for a £2.3m sports hall in Berkhamsted’s Ashlyns School is due to be made by Dacorum Borough Council tonight.

Its development control committee will also decide whether planning permission should be granted for the development of six houses in the place of New Mill Social Centre in Tring.

The sports hall plan attracted controversy after initially being opposed by Berkhamsted Town Council

The New Mill plan has attracted a lot of opposition from people who live in the area since it was first announced more than two years ago

The decisions are due to be made in a meeting at Hemel Hempstead Civic Centre that begins tonight at 7pm.
