Budget conscious brides looking to find a dress for their big day should head to the Love to Give Shop in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.
Love to Give is running a week-long wedding promotion which started on Thursday.
The Hospice of St Francis charity shop’s third annual bridal promotion will be turned into a must-visit showroom for brides with many different style of dresses and a mix of high street and designer labels on sale, all under £100.
There will also be outfits for bridesmaids, mother of the bride plus morning suits and a good selection of hats available to suit anyone attending a wedding this summer. The shop will also be transformed with arrays of beautiful wedding flowers thanks to local floral society, the Stoney Croft Flower Club.
Jackie Grew, shop manager, said she knows only too well from personal experience how a wedding can impact on finances.
“Having attended my daughter’s wedding recently, I know how expensive a wedding can be,” she said.
“Our annual sale is well worth a visit for brides who want to look fabulous but want to avoid having to spend a fortune.
“What’s more it’s all in a good cause! Our last two events have raised several thousand pounds which all goes towards supporting the work of The Hospice of St Francis.”
It’s also a busy time for another of the Hospice’s shops with the Love to Give store in Bovingdon celebrating its 10th anniversary this month.
Since opening, the store has secured sales just shy of £1,000,000 which has been put towards hospice care.
Michelle Oliver, Bovingdon store manager, said it could not have been done with the help of the public.
She said: “I’d like to say a special thank the local community for their continued support of our shop over the past decade and all the wonderful volunteers, many of whom have been with us since we opened.”
