Zumba was the buzzword at The Fitness Society this week after a group of fitness fanatics danced their way to donations for the Hospice of St Francis.

The gym on Berkhamsted High Street is holding a series of sporty challenges until Friday for those who want to show their support for the fundraiser.

A spokesperson for the gym said: “The challenge is going really well so far with lots of people joining in at the studio and entering for raffle prizes.”

Some of the challenges include climbing height equivalent of the Empire State Building – that’s 102 floors – or rowing the Oxford Cambridge boat race, which is a distance of 6.9km.

Existing members can make a donation and take part in any of the sessions, while non-members can do the same by donating £5. Sponsorship forms are available from reception.
