CALLS have been flooding in for new safety measures at the junction where a woman in her 70s died last week.
She was a passenger in a Honda that police think came out of Pedley Hill onto Hemel Hempstead Road (A4146) before being knocked into a verge by another car.
Campaigners say the junction where it happened has been dangerous for years.
Julian Marshall, who lives in Hudnall, says his daughter and granddaughter have been involved in crashes near there – and he had a very narrow miss.
When a Herts County Council official came to investigate his near miss, he too got hit by a car, Mr Marshall said.
The 83-year-old said: “We have lobbied hard to get a mini-roundabout there, and that has been going on for six or seven years.”
