Mascot competition entry form

Calling all budding artists, cartoonists and creative people! You have the chance to see your art work literally come to life.

As part of Ashlyns School and Berkhamsted Raiders FC's fundraising drive they have launched a mascot competition.

In association with The Gazette, they are asking the Berkhamsted community to design a mascot for the BerkoAstro project- which aims to raise enough cash to build a full-sized football pitch and changing block on Ashlyns School's grounds.

As well as a host of prizes on offer, the overall winner will see their design made into a life size costume.

Mervyn Edgecombe, the Ashlyns School governor running the competition, said: "We are looking for a mascot which will become the instantly recognisable 'face' and identity of BerkoAstro and we thought the best way to find something that would appeal to everyone was to ask them to decide how it should look.

"We really hope everyone who enters has a lot of fun and enjoyment coming up with their idea of an eye catching, lovable character which expresses what the project is all about

"The winner really will see their creation emblazoned all around the community. And as well as coming up with a character we want them to give it a name which will be fun and appealing to all ages too. It's a fantastic opportunity for all ages to see their creation come to life and help raise the profile even more of a hugely important fund raising campaign."

The winners from three different categories will win prizes and one will see their work brought to life.

The different categories are:

5 - 9 years

10 -13 years

13 and over
