Man hit by train at Hemel station

LONDON Midland has announced that there will be severe delays for commuters travelling by train between London Euston and Hemel Hempstead because a man was hit by a train at Hemel Hempstead railway station.

The British Transport Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary officers attended the incident, which was reported to police at 2.02pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.

Paramedics from East of England Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and inform their family.

The train involved was the 12.15pm Manchester Piccadilly to Euston service.
