Movers and shakers stepped out dressed in their best party gear for the launch of a charity calendar that featured many of them posing nude.

The Tring Uncovered Calendar, which features 75 people from businesses in the area with their kit off, has been the talk of the town since it launched at the Made in Tring party last Wednesday.

The naughty publication includes high standing members of the community such as CEO of Grass Roots David Evans wearing only his MBE and Oakman Inns director and chairman of Tring Rugby Club Peter Borg-Neal with a cabbage covering his dignity.

Media people including the Gazette’s own Abena Bailey, Dee TV’s Mischke Weinreb and Tring Living’s Sandra Smith feature on the December page.

So many locals wanted to bare all to raise money for The Court Theatre that some of the calendar’s months feature two or three businesses on one page.

Fundraising director Donna Wright said: “It has been received so well. David Evans plugged it at The Spirit of Tring concert at the weekend and theatre director Ian Gower spoke about it on the radio.”

People packed out The Akeman bar and restaurant in Tring to get a first look at the calendar during the party, which was also to celebrate the sixth birthday of Tring Living Magazine.

Now 2,000 calendars have gone on sale in high street shops and bars in the town as well as at The Court Theatre.

Donna said: “We have three months to sell the lot.”
