THOSE that love the outdoors and dealing with the public are needed to lend a hand on a charity market stall.

You’ll use practical selling skills while helping adults with learning difficulties to develop their retail work experience.

This is a chance to work alongside a professional team in order to coach and support a group of individuals to sell produce that has been grown and harvested by Sunnyside Rural Trust.

Volunteers are also needed to help out at on-site shops.

> Creative souls are needed to help adults with learning difficulties get arty and develop their practical skills.

Volunteers could be helping with growing plants, making jams and pickles, sewing and knitting, working with willow and woodwork and selling produce.

Appropriate tools and orientation training will be given.

> Volunteers of all ages are needed to help out as sales assistants for Barnardos.

Helpers are particularly needed on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and will be trained on how to use the till as well as stock checking, labelling and tagging. This opportunity is based in Berkhamsted.

> A lady volunteer is needed to help out with Happy Hour at the Heather Club.

It is a weekly opportunity on Wednesdays from 9am to 10am to help elderly and confused club members walk safely from their house to the pick-up minibus and then into the club.

The club is for elderly mentally frail people, who are able to manage their own personal needs, and provides recreational activities and simulating talks.

> Diamond Jubilee and Olympic fun volunteers are needed to make sure events to mark the occasions go without a hitch.

Help ensure Hemel Hempstead’s leg of the Olympic torch goes smoothly by volunteering as a marshal on Sunday, July 8 – or get involved with carnival fun as a float driver for the big parade in Hemel Hempstead on Monday, June 4.
