HEMEL Hempstead’s Market Square could be turned into a mini-ampitheatre under plans to make the town “revolutionary”.

Dacorum Borough Council’s planning chief Stephen Holmes told the Gazette Hemel Hempstead is no longer the vibrant place it was when it began developing as a new town.

He said: “It was a town fit for purpose in the 60s and 70s and was quite revolutionary in those days.”
