EASTER egg trails will be held at a historic beauty spot for four days running from Friday.

They will be at the Ashridge Estate Visitor Centre at times from 12noon to 4pm.

For £2 each, they will get a map and will have to find information boards around the National Trust site to answer questions about it to win chocolate.

Visitor services manager Katie Piggford said: “Children can learn more about the secrets of the Ashridge Estate.”

On Easter Sunday and Monday, events at the National Trust and Cadbury event include a sack race, Easter egg shy and face painting.

Children can join a ‘Design your own Egghead’ competition too and help design the Cadbury chocolate eggs, which have cartoon faces on their wrappers.

The winner’s design could go in shops from 2012.
