DEVELOPMENT: Dacorum Borough Council (DBC) chiefs met on Tuesday to discuss the public response to a homes plan.

Its draft core strategy - put to public consultation in November and December last year - suggest more than 1,000 homes be built in Berkhamsted from 2006 to 2031.

At a meeting on Monday Berkhamsted Town councillor Laurence Handy said: “I hardly need emphasise that clear communication on this and other developments in Berkhamsted is of the utmost importance.”

DBC is due to decide how much of its strategy will be continued on September 28.
