In the deep freeze again

SNOW has swept across the area and it looks like the cold snap is here to stay.

Around ten people helped push an ambulance up the hill in Hillfield Road, Hemel Hempstead, as paramedics made their way to the town’s hospital on Saturday.

Plunging temperatures have left roads treacherous with dozens of accidents and cars abandoned across the borough.

But children have been making the most of the festive weather, with snowball fights and sledging.

Dacorum Borough Council is experiencing disruption to services due to the weather conditions

Bin collections have been suspended, the housing repairs department is operating a reduced service, public toilets are closed due to frozen pipework and all of the council’s adventure playgrounds will close at 4pm today.
