A DOG from Berkhamsted has come second in a national fancy dress competition.
Ralph, a 20-month-old golden retriever, and owner Carmel Twomey, placed high in the Dressed to the K9s competition.
Carmel, an acupuncturist and pilates teacher, dressed Ralph as a hunter, complete with rifle and duck.
The competition, organised by Berkhamsted-based pet care and behaviour company Walk the Dog, was held in aid of Every Chance Rescue and was judged by Comedy Dave and newsreader colleague Dominic Byrne from Radio 1.
Ralph was pipped to the post by Piran the Bearded Collie and owner Gemma Wilson from Truro in Cornwall.
