The former base of Berkhamsted Police Station will be converted into new homes and retail outlets under a developer’s plans.
The identity of the purchaser is not due to be revealed until the completion of the sale on Friday.
But the police authority has now told this website that it received 15 offers before it chose a buyer.
It is proposed that the property becomes a residential development with some retail outlets on the ground floor. But that will be subject to planning permission being granted by Dacorum Borough Council.
