Hill-ridden half-marathon will turn 30 next month

Berkhamsted Half Marathon

Berkhamsted Half Marathon

RUNNERS will take on the steep hill that leads to the Ashridge Estate in the 30th year of an annual half-marathon.

They will set off from Berkhamsted Cricket Club at 10am on Sunday, March 4, after the starting pistol is fired by town mayor Carol Green.

A five-mile fun run will begin 30 minutes later.

Organisers from the Berkhamsted Bulbourne Rotary Club have used the event to raise more than £250,000 for good causes since it was first set up in 1982.

Race director Peter Robertson said: “We are blessed with a terrific course and taking part is a great way to shake off the winter blues.”
