More than 90 per cent of staff at the county’s mental health and learning disabilities services provider feel their role makes a difference to the lives of those they care for.

The latest staff survey by the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust saw it come out in the top 20 per cent of its type of trust in England in five categories.

Minister of State for disabled people and Hemel Hempstead MP Mike Penning also visited the Trust’s St Paul’s unit in the town to discuss how closer ties between services would provide better outcomes for service users.
