Help for people struggling to keep warm

editorial image

New help is available to people who are struggling to heat their home during winter.

Herts County Council has won a bid for £395,000 from the Department of Health’s Warm Homes Healthy People Fund to help the homeless, older and poor people.

The cash will be spent improving insulation in homes, providing emergency heaters and providing extra services [LIKE WHAT?] to homeless people.

People in need will be selected for the hand-outs by the council, the county’s district councils and voluntary organisations, and NHS Herts.

Contact the HertsHelp helpline on 0300 1234044 for advice on keeping warm during winter.
