STAFF took ‘make believe’ to a new level when they dressed up as their favourite characters in fiction for World Book Day.
Workers from Make Believe Ideas cafe and children’s publishing company in Berkhamsted transformed themselves into Batgirl, Harry Potter and Snow White and others for the event.
Cafe manager Julie Howell – who became Snow White – said: “We want to encourage children to read books, which is what we are all about.
“You do not need to have a Playstation or computer to have fun. All you need is books.”
There was a free book for customers who spent more than £7 during the event.
