Volunteers with a love of everything creative are needed to help out at an arts and crafts gallery.

People aged 17 and over with a happy and outgoing disposition can be part of this new venture. Roles on offer range from working in retail sales to lending a hand in the workshop. Training is in the first week of September and expenses will be covered.

The Upstairs Gallery exhibits and sells local arts and crafts giving the profits to local charities.

Help is needed from Tuesday to Friday and Saturday.

If you are motivated, enthusiastic and looking for a volunteer role within your community this is the perfect role for you.

Timing is flexible, but weekdays would be preferred, however, some help is needed at weekends.

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over and have a full driving licence. Training is provided.

No experience in gardening is necessary but you must be willing to muck in with everyone else.

You will be helping an elderly person enjoy their garden again along with the help of Groundwork Hertfordshire workers.

Helpers who are aged under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

Sessions will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.30am until 4pm.

> AS a volunteer befriender you must be friendly and willing to assist those in need.

This role involves helping people released from prison settle back into the community.

You must be aged 18 or over and training will be provided.
