A law firm wants ladies to drop their old bras off at its offices to help women in developing countries and raise cash for breast cancer research.
Pictons, which has offices in Hemel Hempstead and Tring, has joined forces with The Rotary Club of Wendover and District for the causes.
Family law solicitor Drenne Dunphy said: “When I heard about the bra collecting initiative I immediately thought it was something we could participate in. It’s a fun idea for a very serious cause and we’re are delighted to give the bra collection our full support.”
The unwanted bras are sent to a textiles company, which sorts them and sells them on to developing countries. The remainder are sold on as textile scrap, which sees the rotary club receive £1 per kilo towards Breast Cancer Care.
