THERE’S going to be a fun run and half marathon for charity, and thousands are expected to take part.
Joggers will start and finish at Berkhamsted Railway Station.
The March 6 runs will begin at 10am for half marathon runners and 10.30am for those who are doing five-mile fun run.
The two events have been organised by the Rotary Club of Berkhamsted Bulbourne for the past 29 years.
Cash raised from this year’s runs will go to the Pepper Foundation and Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.
The two charities help care for people with life-limiting illnesses. Entry is £19 for the half marathon and £8 for the fun run.
Pete Elsworth, organising committee chairman, said: “This is a major event in the Berkhamsted calendar.
“We are hoping for another bumper turnout to beat last year’s record.”
There were 1,750 runners last year - but this year, Pete expects 2,000.
So far, 500 have registered for the half marathon, which was completed in one hour and ten minutes last year by the fasted runner last year.
