FACE painting, pony rides, a bouncy castle, beat-the-goalie game, barbecue, lucky dip, raffle and bottle tombola were among the highlights at a village summer fete.

It was at Potten End Pre-School in The June Farmery Building, Church Road, on Saturday.

Mum Nadine Flanagan said: “It was a really, really good fete and lots of people came to it.

“It is our biggest fundraiser of the year and the children had a great time. The sun shone too – which helped.”

Fete-goers were treated to dancing displays by the members of a Love to Dance group where the pre-school children are members.

The pre-school has been going for more than 20 years. Profits from the fete will help keep it running.
