Friends of a scaffolder who was left in a coma after a horrific roof plunge have helped raise £3,407.50 to support his partner and two-year-old daughter Kacey.
Stewart Thomas is now in a stable condition at St Mary’s Hospital in London after falling 26 feet through an asbestos roof on Thursday, July 25.
About 200 people went to Saturday’s fundraiser at The Jubilee pub in Adeyfield, where attractions included a bouncy castle, raffle, face painting and fluffy toy stall.
Organiser Reece Baker said: “The pub was full towards the end of the day and the garden was rammed too.
“Everyone had a good time and all the kiddies enjoyed themselves.”
