Flumes reopen at Aquasplash

The flumes at Hemel Hempstead’s Aquasplash have now reopened.

Its three flumes and the ‘drag race’ water slides had to be closed on Sunday, May 6, after the electrical room controlling them was flooded – but they reopened at 2pm today (Thursday).

The venue’s water pumps were taken to a factory to be kiln-dried and repaired, and the panel was fixed – all at a cost of more than £10,000.

Operations manager Chris Keen said: “Our priority was to get the rides up-and-running for half-term.”
