Flags are flying at half mast at Herts Constabulary bases across the county as the funerals of two murdered Manchester police officers are held.

PC Nicola Hughes, 23, was laid to rest today (Wednesday), while the funeral of PC Fiona Bone, 32, will be held tomorrow.

The pair were killed during a gun and grenade attack when they were called out to a hoax burglary at a house in Greater Manchester on September 18.
