Five open air theatre shows coming to Berkhamsted Castle

FIVE more open air theatre shows will be performed in the grounds of Berkhamsted Castle after the success of The Pirates of Penzance last year.

The September performance was the first public event at the site since the 1990s.

This year Shakespeare’s Henry V will be shown at the castle at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 16, and Julius Caesar at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 22.

HMS Pinafore by Gilbert & Sullivan will be there at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 1.

And children’s show The Twits by Roald Dahl will be performed there on Friday, June 1, and Saturday, September 8, both at 7pm.

Profits from the shows will be distributed between The Hospice of St Francis, Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and the Pepper Foundation.
