A canal restoration group is holding an open day at its site near Tring to allow the public to see the work in action.

On Saturday, September 8, visitors to the Drayton Beauchamp site can find out more about the volunteers who are the driving force behind the work to reconnect the Grand Union Canal between Tring and the tiny hamlet.

Between 12.30pm and 4pm, there will be parking, tea and cake at St Mary the Virgin church.
