A film depicting victims’ experiences of hate crime and the positive way they have been handled was screened at a Herts Police awareness.
The hate crime event on Monday was organised by the County Community Safety Unit - a joint venture between police, council and the fire service.
It aimed to raise awareness about hate crime and encourage victims to report incidents to police.
The film, entitled Don’t Suffer In Silence, was created to raise awareness and highlight the struggle some people encounter because of hostility, aggression or prejudice towards their disability, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or transgender identity.
