A CONGREGATION said goodbye to its minister of three years during a special Sunday service.
Reverend Caroline Weaver has been part of the Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted Methodist Circuit for 33 years. Over the last 12 years she has served as a minister.
The farewell service was conducted by the Methodist Superintendent Reverend Tony Cavanagh at All Saints Church in Shrublands Road Berkhamsted.
Ms Weaver was minister at both All Saints in Berkhamsted and St Martha’s in Tring. Before that she was based in Hemel Hempstead while also working part time as a Free Church chaplain at The Mount prison in Bovingdon.
Before her ordination she worked for Herts Library Service.
She moves to the new Methodist Circuit of North Bedfordshire where she will have pastoral charge of six churches.
The reverend will also be doing chaplaincy work at the University of Cranfield.
Her successor, Reverend Rachael Hawkins, who is married with two young sons, will take up her post from September.
