News from St John’s Church, Boxmoor.

The consecration of the Reverend Canon Dr Michael Beasley as Bishop of Hertford will take place at Westminster Abbey on May 14 at 11am. Everyone is invited to attend, there are no reserved seats. If you wish to attend please notify the Diocesan Office by tomorrow (Thursday April 2). Email Igriffiths@stalbans.anglican.org or call 01727 818131.

The knitting circle has been busy knitting chicks, cockerels, bunnies and rabbits for Easter. They are on sale at the back of the church and each contains a creme egg. All proceeds to church funds.

Jessica Tanner is running the London Marathon on April 26 on behalf of MASJ. Sponsorship forms and online details are available on the MASJ desk at the back of the church.

The annual church meeting will take place at 7.45pm on Tuesday, April 14 in St John’s Hall. Nomination forms for electing churchwardens and members of the PCC are available at the back of the church. Completed forms should be sent or given to the PCC secretary Richard Lyne or put in his St John’s pigeon hole.

Twelve people who are willing to have their feet washed are required for the Maundy Thursday eucharist and washing of the feet service at 8pm tomorrow (Thursday April 2). Please see the vicar if you are interested in participating.
