The stage is set for this year’s Kings Langley Carnival and organisers are urging people to turn out and support the event.

Fun for all the family is being put on for the second year running by Hemel Hempstead’s Rotary Club with help from village volunteers.

Organiser Martin Horsted said: “With the success of the newly extended carnival last year we are excited to once again provide a showcase for local talent on the carnival stage. We are sure that a great musical line up together with our usual mix of family entertainment throughout the afternoon will prove to be a winning formula for villagers and visitors”.

The common will be filled with attractions for all ages on Saturday including community stalls, children’s entertainment, pony rides, face painting, a petting farm, funfair and the return of the dog show, which will be open to all. Live music will be on the carnival stage until 8.15pm with something promised for all tastes from jazz to heavy metal.

The carnival starts at midday and will be officially opened by Dacorum Mayor Penny Hearn at 2pm.
