CAMPAIGNERS want a town’s ancient cattle troughs to be listed.

Members of the Conservation Area Residents Association of Berkhamsted (CARAB) say the two items outside The Goat in High Street are more than 100 years old.

They have approached Punch Taverns, who own the pub, roads body Herts Highways and Dacorum Borough Council about the listing.

The next step for CARAB is to write to conservation body English Heritage and request that they are listed.
