STUDENTS and parents turned up in their droves to pick up exam results at Berkhamsted School where happy teenagers planned celebrations.

Despite the rain many of the A level and As level pupils were planning on having a night out at a beach party in a Watford nightclub.

Among them 18-year-old Toby Slevelane who’s four A* grades in English, economics, maths and physics will see him go to Durham to study law.

He said: “It was harder to get the place at Durham than in was to get the grades. I was a little bit shocked and quite pleased with my results. I’m looking forward to a night out now.”
