A POLICE constable and a community support officer have helped school pupils make their mobile phones safer.

PCSO Katie Braham and Lois Jones visited Ashlyns School in Chesham Road, Berkhamsted and marked 80 mobile phones with International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers.

That means they are now listed on a police database, making it easier for police to recover the phones if they are stolen.
