Drinkers get into Christmas spirit at The Rising Sun

Drinkers got into the Christmas spirit a few weeks early at The Rising Sun’s beer festival.

There were about 40 different ales and ciders at the pub, which sits beside the Grand Union Canal in Berkhamsted. Many of them were Christmas-themed, with names like Silent Night and Santa’s Little Helper. The festival ran from Thursday to Sunday.

Debbi said: “There were a great selection of beers – some of them rather strong. But it is Christmas – or coming up to, and there’s a great variety and it’s a really nice pub.

Simon said: “It’s a great community pub – everyone gets on with each other: it’s a very nice place.”
