ROTARIANS are asking the public to hand over their unwanted tools to help Third World countries and people with learning difficulties.
The Rotary Club of Berkhamsted Bulbourne will have a stall accepting donations from 9am to 3.30pm at Berkhamsted market this Saturday and next Saturday, April 16.
Items will be refurbished by people with learning difficulties and other conditions, then shipped out to Africa to train people in self-sufficient trades or on self-help community projects.
John Palfreeman, who organises the annual event, said: “It’s win, win, win.
“We do local people a favour by disposing of their unwanted kit.
“We provide employment opportunities in this country for those who are often denied them and we equip people in the developing world to improve their own lives.”
To arrange for your tools to be collected, phone John on 01442 251160. The Rotarians cannot accept power tools.
