DON’T miss a church’s annual summer fete.
It’s at St Mary’s Church in New Road, Northchurch, on Saturday from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Highlights include performances by the St Mary’s School Maypole Dancers, the Hemel Hempstead Brass Band and The Patrick Gibson Guitar Group.
There will also be mini-train rides, pony rides, a barbecue and bric-a-brac stalls.
Fete chairman Nick Laing said: “It promises to be a fab way to spend your Saturday afternoon and your money.”
The church fete - which has happened for more than 12 years - usually attracts hundreds of villages and raises about £2,000 for charity, he said.
The cash will be split between the charities Street Kids Direct, which helps deprived youngsters in Honduras and Guatemala, children’s charity Bernardo’s, and Northchurch United - helping the needy around the village.
