A £500,000 scheme to replace the A41’s worn-out road surface will begin tomorrow.

There will be full night-time closures and daytime lane closures of the eastbound A41 between Tring and Bourne End for the next three weekends. That stretch of dual carriageway will also be closed between 9pm and 5am on Monday, August 5.

Cabinet member for highways Terry Douris said: “These works form part of Hertfordshire County Council’s ongoing commitment to maintain and improve the road network in Hertfordshire.

“We appreciate that this is a major route and understand that these essential maintenance works are likely to cause disruption.

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience and would ask everyone to allow extra time for any journeys you make while the work is in progress.”
