Police are trying to trace a motorcyclist who is suspected of driving off after a collision that left a man with serious injuries to his arm and shoulder.
Officers were called to Junction 6 of the southbound M1 at about 3.45pm today when a man, for unknown reasons, got out of his vehicle.
He was then involved in a collision with the motorcycle, which failed to stop, and has since been taken to hospital.
PC James Wood, who is investigating the incident said: “We are very keen to speak with the driver of this motorcycle (pictured) as we believe they may have vital information which could assist our investigation into this collision.
“Is this you, or do you know who it may be?
“If so, please call me or PC Leon Bennett on 101 quoting ISR 457 of October 15th.”
Although Junction 6 is the turn-off for North Watford, it is used every day by people travelling to Hemel Hempstead – which is off Junction 8 of the M1.
