A motorbike passenger is recovering in hospital after being thrown up to 30 metres through the air when the bike he was travelling on collided with a pizza delivery car.
An appeal has been issued by police this morning (Monday) following Thursday’s collision along St Albans Road in Hemel Hempstead.
It happened at the junction with Longlands just after 7.30pm last Thursday (September 17).
Two men travelling on the black Suzuki motorbike, aged 23 and 22 and both from Hemel Hempstead, suffered serious injuries including multiple fractures and were taken to specialist trauma hospital St Mary’s in London.
The driver of the car - a white Toyota Aygo - was not hurt.
