Dacorum’s two MPs have now signed up to social networking Twitter – but one is proving far more popular than the other.
Hemel Hempstead representative Mike Penning has gained less than 40 followers since his first tweet on Friday, November 22.
But his South West Herts counterpart David Gauke has gained more than 350 in just seven days of tweeting.
Mr Penning said Twitter is a good way to let people know what he’s been doing in Hemel Hempstead. But he said: “I’m not competing for number of followers!!”
Mr Gauke said he would write about his Twitter account in his next column in the Gazette, adding: “Good job you’re not competing on followers, Mike!”
