The British Heart Foundation is renewing its annual appeal to get shoppers spreading the love next month.
The charity, which has two shops in Hemel Hempstead’s town centre including a furniture and electrical store, is urging lovers to pick up a heart-shaped note in store for £1.
Valentine’s messages will then be displayed in shop windows until February 16.
The charity’s east of England manager Sonya Pringle said: “Posting a love note is one of the easiest ways to express your love, while the small donation will help us fund life-saving research.”
The shops will also turn red on February 7 to mark the loved-up season.
