Fans of the fantasy television drama Game of Thrones are being urged to make their way to the capital of the fictional seven kingdoms of Westeros – in Kings Langley.

From Tuesday at 11.30am the village changes its name to Kings Landing to mark the show’s series three DVD release. Though the new signs will only be visible until February 23, there will be plenty to see and do as businesses embrace the potentially tourism-boosting idea.

Dacorum mayor Penny Hearn will open ‘Kings Landing’ in a grand, old-fashioned robe and a three-eyed raven from the show will also be on display.

Take your picture with the sign opposite the Young Pretender pub and tweet it to @HBO_UK with the hashtag #KingsLandingUK for your chance to win Game of Thrones merchandise.
