A Berkhamsted salon is one step away from winning a national hairdressing competition.

Gorgeous is up for the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy and the L’Oréal Professionnel Young Colourist Award after shaking off competition from 60 other salons in the east of England. Director Adam Gates said: “We feel this is a great achievement.”

The salon’s Sean Butt and Hollie Herring wowed judges by styling the hair of model Charlotte Hearn during the regional competition in Cambridge’s Imperial War Museum Duxford earlier this month.

Gorgeous is just one of 42 to make it to the final of the competition out of more than 455 that entered it part nationwide. The final will be in Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, on Monday, June 3.
