This month may have been a mixed bag weather-wise, but kids on their summer holidays were still shocked to see snow drifting into Hemel Hempstead’s four adventure playgrounds last week.

The Snow Centre on St Albans Hill teamed up with Dacorum Borough Council to help little ones chill out with a great big pile of the white stuff in the Adeyfield, Bennetts End, Chaulden and Grovehill/Woodhall Farm parks.

Snow Centre operations manager Jade Campion said: “Over the last week we have made extra snow to deliver to the local adventure playgrounds for the children to have fun with.”

Neighbourhood Action team leader Joe Guiton added: “The fresh snow was for the children to play in, cool off and have some winter fun in the sun.”
