There’s plenty to toast at Tring Brewery this week after two bottled beers wowed judges at this year’s Great Taste awards.
The charmingly-named Side Pocket For A Toad and Death or Glory were awarded one and two stars respectively after undergoing a rigorous blind taste test involving more than 400 judges.
Great Taste is the world’s largest awards scheme for food and drink. Out of almost 10,000 products entered, just 125 were awarded the prestigious three stars.
Head of marketing and communications Ben Marston said: “Tring Brewery has been very successful in attaining awards at both national and regional beer festivals and competitions over the past years.
“The Great Taste Awards provided us with an opportunity to see how well our products stood up against different competition in a different environment.
“Death or Glory, despite being a strong beer, has won over many fans and I hope the appointment of the awards for this and Side Pocket will act as a further catalyst for driving people to local pubs and, of course, our brewery shop to try the beers.”
