A total of 14 students from a Hemel Hempstead school and its caretaker got to appear on camera when film crews paid a visit.

The weekend filming at Adeyfield School in Longlands for a tongue in cheek movie called Stars of The Hooligan Factory also brought in some cash, which will be ploughed back into the school.

Caretaker Brian Walker made an unplanned appearance as a police officer when one of the extras failed to turn up, while the Year 9 football team were filmed playing a match inside the school, gym and four girls took part in a classroom scene.

School business manager Sally Fenemore said: “It was a lot of work from the school’s point of view but the kids has such a good time and it was good for the school to be part of it.”
