Can you help with dog walking duties?

DOG walkers and animal lovers are needed to look after furry friends when their owners become ill.

The Cinnamon Trust is a national charity for the elderly and terminally ill patients with pets.

It provides day-to-day care service for pets, fostering when owners are hospitalised and long term care if owners pass away.

Volunteers need to be caring, understanding and have a love of animals.

> Someone to help elderly and disabled people do their food shopping is required by Community Action Dacorum.

Shopping trips take place on the first and third Wednesday of each month in Berkhamsted.

A physically fit driver’s escort is needed to help lift shopping.

The helper will leave at 9.15am to collect the bus and then pick up around seven shoppers.

They are taken to Waitrose to do their shopping before gathering in the cafe for a drink and then returning home.

> Helpers to organise the collection and delivery of second hand furniture are needed by the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

The good cause wants to recruit up to two new volunteers to work as furniture coordinators on Tuesday and/or Friday mornings for up to four hours.

The role includes taking incoming phone calls relating to offers of furniture, phoning to confirm with donors and buyers an approximate time slot for their collection or delivery and confirming with volunteer drivers their availability.

An excellent telephone manner, computer skills, well organised and being able to work as a team are skills required for this role.
